Dr. Layih Butake is the Director of Communication and Outreach at AKADEMIYA2063. She is a versatile, result-oriented communications and program management professional with 12+ years of corporate communications experience focusing on non-profit, program management, and research in the higher education and international development sectors. Before joining AKADEMIYA2063, Dr. Layih Butake served as Acting Director of Communications at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Global Secretariat, previously holding the positions of Senior Outreach Manager and Communications and Outreach Manager, Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the same organization. Other roles that she held include Adjunct Lecturer at the Performance and Visual Arts Unit of the University of Buea and the Department of Arts and Archaeology at the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon, and Research Officer at the S.T. Muna Foundation.
