Joseph Karugia (PhD) is a Principal Scientist at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Nairobi, Kenya with expertise in agricultural economics and policy. He is the Team Leader of the Policy and Foresight Analysis Team in the Policies, Institutions and Livelihoods Program of ILRI. Joseph is also the CGIAR Country Convener for Kenya. For about fourteen years until September 2021, he was the Coordinator of the Eastern and Central Africa Node of the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support System (ReSAKSS) which was at the time facilitated by ILRI and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
