BIT’s 3rd Annual World Congress of Agriculture

The 3rd Annual World Congress of Agriculture will take place from 23 – 25 September in Hangzhou, China. The overarching theme of the event will be the key to feeding the world. 

The event will look at food science and nutrition in agriculture, plant biology and plant biotechnology and the role of agriculture in sustainable development.

Day of dialogue on post-2015 agenda at the UNGA 68th Session

As part of the 68th session, the UN Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS) announced a “day of dialogue” between civil society organizations and Member States on 22 September 2013, to be informed by consultations on key reports on the post-2015 development agenda.

The 68th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 68) will convene at UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, 17 – 30 September 2013. The General Debate will open on Tuesday, 24 September 2013.

Presentation of Outcomes of MY World Survey

The UN will hold an event in September 2013 to share the outcomes of the mobile, online and offline surveys conducted as part of the MY World global consultation.

MY World is a global survey asking you to choose your priorities for a better world. The results will be shared with world leaders in setting the next global development agenda. There is still time to tell about the world you want, because your voice matters.
