The AGRF 2022 comes at a pivotal time, a crossroad in Africa’s recovery and progress towards the attainment of the commitments outlined in the Malabo Declaration, the CAADAP goals and the sustainable development goals.

In 2021, major commitments in nutrition, innovation, renewable energy, climate change, regional food trade, and investment were made towards the transformation of food systems. Building on the Common African Position for food systems and the more than 30 national pathways for food systems transformation that exist across the continent, the Summit will showcase leadership from African countries that taking these [pathways] to the next level.
