A conservationist with experience in community development, Unelker Maoga is an Agriculture and Energy Consultant at Practical Action. She is the founder and director of Konservation, a local nonprofit working with rural communities in southwest Kenya. Maoga leads a team of young professionals in implementing a climate change education program in rural agricultural communities, a solar energy enterprise that increases access to clean technologies, and a natural cosmetics social enterprise that provides new revenue streams to women in rural marginalised communities.
