Ryotaro Hayashi is the Senior Social Sector Economist, ADB Human and Social Development Sector Office, Sectors Group. He works on improving the education sector in Asia and the Pacific, particularly Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, and Vanuatu. Before joining ADB as a Young Professional in 2015, Ryotaro worked for 10 years in international development organisations like the World Bank, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
