Patience Samhutsa is a market systems specialist with Practical Action Consulting Southern Africa and has over 11 years of professional experience using the participatory market systems development (PMSD) approach and making markets work for the poor (M4P) approach in agriculture (oil seed crops, cereals, horticulture, livestock), energy (biomass and biogas), and non-timber forest based products (NTFPs) (honey, mushrooms, marula, and mopane worms).
She has been involved in institutional capacity building for government institutions, NGOs and CSOs, and small scale producers in using these market based approaches. Her countries of experience are Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Sudan and Kenya. Patience holds an executive masters degree in business administration, and a degree in agriculture and natural resources from Africa University.
