Nicole Barreca Prenger is the Senior Director, Strategic Communications, at the World Food Prize Foundation. In her role, she works closely with Foundation President Ambassador Terry Branstad and Chief Operating Officer Mashal Husain to elevate the organization’s brand, communications and public relations and promote the mission of the WFPF to a global audience. She leads the development and implementation of the strategic vision across all divisions, expanding partner involvement and increasing WFPF visibility among key stakeholder audiences.

Nicole worked for the Foundation from 2012-2022 where she served in a variety of roles focusing on the Foundation’s global brand and communications efforts all while managing the Norman E. Borlaug Hall of Laureates global event and convention center which welcomes over 20,000 visitors annually. She was instrumental in the planning and execution of the annual Laureate Award Ceremony, Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue and Global Youth Institute for almost a decade.
