Respected names from agribusiness, policy, international agencies, science and the NGO community will gather to discuss the measures that need to be taken to achieve food and nutrition security.

The fact that the health of over half the population is threatened by poor nutrition—whether hunger, mineral and vitamin deficiencies, or excessive consumption—shows that healthier diets are badly needed. The toughest question is why a billion people are hungry in a world of ample food production?

Cross-stakeholder dialogue can help find the answers. Join expert speakers and attendees to debate next steps and generate fresh solutions for critical food security challenges.

Speakers include:

  • John Parker, the Environment editor for The Economist
  • Lilianne Ploumen, the Netherlands minister for Foreign Trade and Development co-operation
  • Milly Ezeria Kyofa-Boamah the Director of Plant Protection and Regulatory Service division in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana
  • Achim Dobermann, the director and chief executive of Rothamsted Research
  • Tim Fox, the Head of Energy and Environment at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering
  • Stefan Germann, the Executive Director of One Goal Asia, Nutrition for Every Child and the Director for Partnerships and Innovation with World Vision International
